Who is Funk Volume?
Hopsin, a Ruthless Records recording artist, founded Funk Volume in 2007. He brought in Damien Ritter to head up business operations at the end of 2008. SwizZz has been a part of the movement since day one and is the first artist to represent Funk Volume. Although SwizZz is the only artist officially affiliated with the company, we are hoping that everyone will be a part of the Funk Volume movement by creating music that is authentic.
What does “Funk Volume” mean?
Funk Volume is old school originality, with a new school swag. “Funk” is the fusion of soul music, soul jazz, and R&B. It represents a time in which artists felt comfortable taking risks and expressing themselves authentically. “Volume” represents the level in which you are comfortable expressing yourself. Everyone has their own comfort level, but we encourage all artists to TURN IT UP!!!

How much do you charge for your music?
Each piece of music will be negotiated on an individual basis. The fee will depend on a number of factors, including its intended use, exclusivity, and whether or not there is a transfer of copyright. Serious inquiries only.
Can I collab with one of your artists?
Yes, as long as their schedule permits they are always down to collab with other artists. The price will vary depending on the artist.
What services does Funk Volume offer?
We produce our own music and videos, but our production and consulting services are also available for hire.
