How much does it cost to enter the contest?
Nothing! The contest is FREE to enter.

When can I submit my entry?
You may submit your entry when the contest begins.

The contest begins on:   April 1, 2010 (12:00am PST)
Voting will open up on:   April 14, 2010 (12:00am PST)
The contest ends on:     April 25, 2010 (11:59pm PST)

How many times can I enter?
Each contestant may submit one entry.

How long should my entry be?
We are asking all contestants to keep their entries to approximately 2 minutes.

Can I use more than one of the contest beats?
Yes, but please remember that the entry should still be approximately 2 minutes.

Can we enter the contest as a group?
Fasho! You may submit an entry along with another artist(s). However, if you submit a group entry, then you will not be able to submit a solo entry.

I don't have a camera to make a video. How can I still enter the contest?
If you don't have a camera, then feel free to post your song to YouTube using a picture instead of a video. Click here for an example.

VOTING

Can I vote more than once?
You can vote for as many entries as you like, but never more than once for the same entry. Each vote must be confirmed via email to ensure that the system is fair.

I can't find the confirmation email, where did you send it?
If you find that you or your fans are not receiving the confirmation email, check your spam folders. Often times the email goes directly to your spam folder if you have never received an email from us.

PRIZE INFO

What does the winner receive?
The winner of the contest will receive $500 and an opportunity to be a Funk Volume artist. Votes and comments will be taken into consideration, but ultimately we will be selecting the winner.

Please note that Funk Volume artists do NOT receive any direct cash compensation. Funk Volume provides FREE production and marketing services to help artists get to the next level in their careers.

In addition to the artists that we select to bring onto our team, we will also be selecting up to 8 additional artist to put together a super collaboration with Hopsin, SwizZz, and Cryptic Wisdom on a topic that has yet to be determined. Here is a link to last year's track.

CONTEST BEATS

Can I use the beat that I download for my own project?
Yes, you may use the free beats for you own project, but you must agree to our non-exclusive beat agreement before downloading the beat.

Can I use my own beat for the contest?
NO, you must use one of the featured beats on the contest homepage to submit your entry. All entries that do not use one of the featured beats will be disqualified.
